Some see the island as perhaps the last frontier, waiting to be discovered for its beauty, its culture, its ritualistic way of life.

Bali has often been called "The Land of Many Temples." Temples, from small shrines in the rice fields to magnificent complexes belonging to large towns, are certainly the single most important institution on the island - and they can be seen everywhere. By the sea on desolate promontories, in caves, on the highest mountain, even entangled in the roots of banyan trees. Large and small temples appear as a natural complement to the island's geography.
The island of Bali offers some of the most spectacular scenery. Terraced rice paddies combined with attractions that are among the most beautiful in the world.

We will be situated in the rural village of Lodtunduh, where you will have the intimate experience of meeting the local people as they pass on their way to the beautiful green rice fields. You will feel the warmth of their smiles and the graciousness of their welcome. You will become a part of this untouched environment, and you will be moved by its glow.

As you take in the beautiful scenery of Bali, you will trek off the beaten track. Cross numerous rice terraces and small farms that allow you to truly appreciate the native landscape and animals of Bali. Enter the ancient and ritualistic Bali Aga (original Balinese) society of Tenganan. Unlike other Balinese villages, Tenganan traces its origins and its social institutions back to the written source, a holy book known as the Usana Bali. Tenganan is also highly regarded for the double ikat and unique basket weaving techniques used by villagers.

For over 20 years, I’ve made it my life’s mission to uplift, inspire and change people’s lives. I like to call myself a catalyst for motivation, passion and high energy! Sheryl Roush is an internationally adored inspirational speaker, helping to rekindle spirit, hope and love. Her own story is one of strong faith, overcoming rape, twice contemplating suicide, filing business bankruptcy, and surviving domestic violence. Today, she encourages women who have experienced similar, including battered and homeless women, bringing hope into their lives.

Sheryl has presented throughout Canada and the US, as well as Southeast Asia, Australia, Middle East, and the U.K. She has on programs alongside: Olivia Newton-John, Art Linkletter, Good Morning America’s Joan Lunden, Mark Victor Hansen and Jack Canfield (Chicken Soup for the Soul), and Commander in Chief’s Geena Davis.
